workshop 4/7/19

138 Wayland Ave. Providence, RI

9:00-11:00 AM

To the unknowing, a Yogi may seem passive and removed. Particularly causing confusion in times of conflict or chaos.

This however, could not be further from the truth. The Yogi sees things as they are, and always acts from this perspective. Come learn what it truly means to act from love, what the vow of the Yogi actually means, and how you can begin to fiercely love all sentient beings, removing all boundaries right now!

Assisting is one of the most transformative things that you can provide your students. It is something that I look for in my teachers because it is a rarity to find someone who can provide space through assisting as well as confidence in helping students move deeper into a pose.

In an age where touch is rare, it is an honor and a privilege to provide safe and loving touch to our students. Want to learn how to deliver with confidence and ease? Join me for this special hands on assists workshop as well as the dialogue that goes behind it.

You will walk away learning:

  • Over a dozen new transformative assists

  • How to convey safe touch and loving kindness

  • How to protect your energy, space and body while assisting

  • The science behind the importance of touch

  • The understanding of the history of assisting in asana practice

Outdoor Yoga Jamboree

Brown Street Park, College Hill, Providence, RI 02906

Tuesday night July 17th 6:30-8PM

Looking to shake it up a little bit and throw some adventurous stuff into your practice? This workshop will be a mix of a fun, unorthodox stuff.

We will definitely hit inversions and work on some conditioning exercises to compliment your yoga practice. In this workshop you will learn to move with greater mindfulness and ease. The principles we will focus on are strength and flexibility in the wrists, shoulders, hips and core.

This is an advanced workshop meaning that if you have at least a 20-second hold in crow pose, this will be a workshop for you!
